Twitter’s Failure to Tackle Hate Speech and Abuse: Why We Say No Thanks.

In this opinion article, we want to provide an update on why we do not use Twitter as a platform for our business.

One of the main reasons for this is that Twitter has continued to become increasingly toxic and divisive. The platform has been criticized for its handling of hate speech, misinformation, and harassment, as well as a host of Human Resource related issues we’ve publicly observed. We believe that it is not only important to avoid association with such a platform, but also to take a stance against it by not using or promoting it as a tool for our business.

Moreover, Twitter has also been criticized for its lack of transparency and accountability. We believe that businesses have a responsibility to choose platforms that prioritize transparency and accountability in their operations, policies, and practices. Twitter’s track record in this regard has been disappointing and we cannot, in good faith, support a platform that does not prioritize these values.

Lastly, we believe that it is important for businesses to make decisions based on their values and principles. At our company, we prioritize transparency, accountability, and inclusivity, and we believe that our decision to not use Twitter is in line with these values.

In conclusion, we firmly believe that businesses have the responsibility to act responsibly and choose platforms that align with their values and principles, and we encourage other businesses to consider the impact of the platforms they use on their customers, employees, and society as a whole. That said, if continuing to use Twitter is still in line with your company’s marketing strategy, feel free to use them… we however will not.
